Making The Perfect Blue

This piece is part of a growing collection of mini canvases that I use when making special colors. I make various shades of the color I need, in this case the color is blue, and I compare them to each other on the canvas. I end up with something abstract, striking, and cool (I think).
Sampling colors is just part of the process of making art! I think it’s intriguing to see all stages of a creative process. Sometimes the process is even cooler than the outcome!
I had a very peaceful time making this piece. I was trying to find the perfect shades of dark/slate blue! What do you think? Did you have a favorite blue?
